The legit way to download or install macOS Mojave provided by Apple is through Mac App Store, where you can get the macOS Mojave install app but it is can be used by other programs for installation. You need addtional settings to make it work.
  2. I have used Mojave Patcher to try and install Mojave on a mid 2010 MacBook Pro and a mid 2011 MacMini. My MacBook Pro is defined by Apple as being ‘obsolete’. It is no slouch though, and it has a beautiful big screen and the sort of tactile, responsive keyboard that has been all but lost on the latest flat models.
